Duckling have found their new colourist at one of the best post-production companies in London. Though their encounter was coincidental, it was a match based on creativity and love at first sight. Hence, yet another international profile joins Duckling.

Jonathan Lieb is Duckling’s new colourist and he is coming to Denmark to create colourful magic for both Danish and international clients. In that way Duckling continue getting foreign profiles. It was by coincidence that Jonathan Lieb came into contact with Duckling, and when both the creative match and the chemistry were at their peak from the very start, the hiring of Jonathan Lieb was quickly a reality.

"We want to be the most international post-production facility in Denmark. With Jonathan on board, we have made a scoop by adding yet another employee with international wingspan to our team", says Casper C. Rasmussen, Customer Relations Manager at Duckling.

In London, as the senior colourist at ENVY, Jonathan Lieb was on the winning team for the award for best post-production company of the year in the UK in 2008, 2009 and 2010. In addition, he made the 2010 list of the 25 best colourists in the UK.

"The level in London is incredibly high. It's an extremely competitive market and there is an immense pressure from the clients who expect something exceptional every time. I believe my experience from London will benefit Duckling's clients", says Jonathan Lieb.

His mantra is: "keep it simple to make it great". When he stopped working for ENVY after four and a half years, the colourist team had grown substantially, taking on large branding projects for such clients as BBC, Channel 4/5 and ITV. Despite a university degree in Media Arts from Royal Holloway, University of London, Jonathan has worked his way up in the film industry the classic way. He started as a runner at Blue Post Production more than 10 years ago, where he later became a colourist.
